Pitch Coke is a low-sulfur, low-ash coke. Choosing coal pitch ( medium temperature pitch or hard pitch) as raw materials
to put them in coke oven and obtained by direct coking.And it can also be produced by delayed coking method, and the final
coking temperature is above 1100 ℃. Pitch coke is also used to produce high-grade cast iron, such as ductile iron.
The delayed coking process and equipment for producing pitch coke is basically the same as the delayed coking for petroleum residue.
Since the coking temperature is only around 500 ° C, the product in the coke tower is semi-coke. Before being used in the production of carbon,
the calcination of pitch delayed coke is essential. The practice at domestic and abroad is to combine the calcination system with delayed coking
to supply the calcined coke to the market.
